Councillor Victoria Alcock was born in Great Yarmouth, the youngest of four children. The family moved to Chesterfield in 1981 and Victoria attended the local primary school and high school, before being accepted by Chesterfield College where she studied Performing Arts.
At eighteen, Victoria moved to Stratford-upon-Avon to continue her performing arts education. She met her husband, Gary in 1998 and they married a year later and now have three children, Kerry, Anthony and Alice.
Prior to motherhood, Victoria had a varied career path, having worked for Powergen before becoming Sub Post Mistress at the post office in Drayton Avenue. Although working full time, she studied hard to gain child care qualifications and completed her NVQ Level 3 in 2009. Victoria is co-director of Networking Mummies UK and has recently won the 'Networker of the Year' award with them.
Councillor Alcock was extremely proud to become a member of the Town Council in 2010.
As a resident on Trinity Mead, she became a committed member of the Trinity Mead Residents Association, before moving across town to Bishopton where she is now working hard to build a good relationship within the new community.
In her very limited spare time she enjoys theatre, films and reading but her favourite past time is cooking and baking for her family.
