Councillor Roy Dyer was born in Stratford-upon-Avon where he has lived ever since. Roy and his wife Kay, an Associate Priest at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford, have three children and four grandchildren.
Roy was appointed to the Town Council in May 2019 and serves on the Finance & Scrutiny Committee and the Planning Consultative Committee. He is also a member of one of the sub-groups.
Roy spent most of his working life in engineering. Having served an apprenticeship at Peak Engineering in Stratford-upon-Avon, he went on to work as a tool maker. During his career Roy was involved in the monitoring of London Underground train construction.
Further education in instrumentation and electronics resulted in Roy being registered by the Engineering Council as an Incorporated Engineer.
