Councillor Jason Fojtik represents the Labour Party and was elected to both the District and Town Council in May 2015 and returned in 2019 and 2023. 

Jason has lived in Clopton all his life and was educated at Broad Street School and Stratford-upon-Avon School, ending his studying at Stratford-upon-Avon College of Further Education.

Councillor Fojtik has three daughters and was Deputy Mayor for 2023-2024.

Councillor Fojtik was elected Mayor for 2024 / 2025 in 2024.

Committees

The Mayor is Ex-officio on all committees with the exception of Finance & Audit.

Career History

Jason has spent his entire career in retail and is currently a Director of Richard Paul Menswear on Masons Road.

Community Interests

As a founder member of the Clopton Community Forum, Jason helped to raise funds to completely rebuild the Ken Kennett Community Centre on Justins Avenue. He remains totally committed to this vital community asset and has remained as an active Trustee.

Until recently, Jason was the Coach, Chairman and Secretary of Stratford Town Girls Football Club.

Leisure Activities

Jason has always been keen on cycling and walking but his overriding passion is rafting and his team train hard to compete in Formula 1 Rafting, taking on top teams around the country in races on the rivers Wye, Trent, Avon and Lugg. He also greatly enjoyed competing in the Great River Race on the Thames in London.
