Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Public Consultation

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Public Consultation

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue are currently running a public consultation on our new  Prevention, Protection and Response Strategy (2022-2027).

We want to encourage the public and our key partner organisations to share their views on how we plan to ensure the safety of communities and individuals who choose to live, visit, study and work in Warwickshire.

The consultation document and questionnaire can be found at: https://ask.warwickshire.gov.uk

 Context

WFRS has a statutory duty under Section 21 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 to comply with the Fire and Rescue National Framework for England. This requires each fire and rescue service to produce a Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) and to give the communities that it serves an opportunity to give feedback on the Plan.

 About the Strategy

The WFRS Prevention, Protection and Response Strategy 2022–2027 is one of four components of the Warwickshire CRMP. It sets out how we will make Warwickshire safer over the next five years.

The other three components of the Plan are:

1.       The Risk Analysis - which assesses fire and rescue related risk in the community

2.       Performance Measures - which measure the impact of the strategy on reducing risk in the community

3.       The Statement of Assurance - which provides financial, governance and operational assurance to the community and government and will be                    completed and published on an annual basis.

We’ve also created a series of videos explaining the CRMP, our strategy and consultation.

 The Consultation

The consultation will remain open to everyone until 25 September 2022. If you have any questions in the meantime, please do get in touch with us via wfrscrmp@warwickshire.gov.uk
