Support for Ukraine
At the Annual Town Meeting, held at the Town Hall on Thursday 6th March 2025, the Mayor took the opportunity to read a statement expressing strong support for Ukraine.
"Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council stands in unwavering solidarity with the people of Ukraine, both those bravely enduring hardship in their homeland and those who have sought refuge in the UK, including within our own community.
At this time, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Ukrainian residents and promoting initiatives that offer practical assistance and compassion.
Our thoughts remain with all those affected and we will continue to stand for peace, freedom and the values that unite us."
